How long will my tattoo take to complete?

There is no definitive answer as it all depends on many factors such as size, placement, color way, skin variations & pigmentation, pain tolerance, etc. Speaking generally, your tattoo will take as long as you can sit. Our artist ask clients to commit to a minimum of four hours per session. Some tattoo designs will need multiple session and/or longer sit times which ranging from 4-8 hours of tattooing per session. Your artist will give you a general timeline once they see how your skin takes but as stated before, there is no definitive answer.

How do I care for my tattoo?

You can download the pdf file for our Aftercare Guidelines here. You should have also received a copy of this form the day of your tattoo appointment.

What should I do to prepare for my tattoo session?

Rest! Get a good night’s sleep first and foremost, good sleep helps the body regenerate blood cells and rejuvenate our muscles & skin. Secondly, drink plenty of water leading up to the day of your tattoo. Hydration is a key factor for great skin, the more hydrated the skin the easier the tattoo process can be as well as lessening the swelling time and overall trauma to the skin. Third, don’t forget to eat a well-balanced meal, surprisingly you will use a lot of energy during your tattoo session. Making sure you eat beforehand will fuel your body and help prevent you from feeling exhausted or passing out during your tattoo. Lastly, dress comfortably, you will be sitting or laying in a still position for some time and comfy clothes can make the session more relaxing. Clients are welcome to bring headphones, water bottles/beverages with resealable lids, and snacks for their tattoo sessions.
